In which personal problems spill over into into a battle. If it wasn't already apparent, this run is going to explore some really unhappy situations. I'm sorry, guys.

For the reason why the Pokeball doesn't work, see the notes on page 14. For some insight into why I handled Lassie's story the way I did, click the 'Story Notes' tag on this post.

Thanks to ~Sinnfinity for spicing up the dialogue, doing the flats, and giving me hugs at certain parts of this page.

Hum, it's interesting how the the whole move thing is treated in your comic, how Lassie cheated when he used bite.
but how would they see bred moves? If lassie was born with bite, or even crunch, would he still cheat if he used them? Would he need registration to use his moves or something like that?

In this world, Pokemon that are bred and have papers are allowed to use their egg moves earlier, so yeah if he were bred from tame parents he could have used it whenever he wanted. It's a way to encourage people to use captive-bred Pokemon (boosting the economy) instead of going out and devastating the wild Pokemon population.

Oh man, you got me. If reading through this comic is the same feeling as the gameplay you experienced then that must've been one tough run to go through.

This nuzlocke comic is incredible, though. It adds a real depth to the Pokemon world. I love how you deconstruct little things in it to make it a relateable 'verse. In fact I'm so used to the happy-sunshiney world of Pokemon that seeing a character not receive their happy ending made my heart sink. :c

I'll just sit here and re-read the past few pages while awaiting further updates. x)

It's saddening to draw all these deaths and present them to the world, yeah. Makes me wish I were a better Nuzlocker.

I'm really happy you're enjoying the world structure; unfortunately making things more deconstructed usually has the side effect of making things more sad! I'm happy you like it so far though. =)
